Our Aims

Open House aims to:

- influence the future shape of London by highlighting and promoting architectural excellence
- enable everyone to build their understanding of architecture and of the impact it has on broader social issues – and to challenge them to think differently
- support people in articulating and expressing their needs and aspirations for the quality of the spaces and places they use every day
- involve Londoners of all ages and abilities in the development of strategies for a better built environment

We seek to achieve these aims by:

- creating innovative programmes for different groups within a diverse community
- catalysing debate and discussion between groups and professionals who would not normally meet
- making the case for good design and architecture and contributing opinions on relevant issues
- providing relevant guidance and expertise, research and learning
