Sponsorship

Open House enjoys strong support from a wide variety of companies and organisations. As well as the positive educational and community benefits of the work we do, association with Open House offers considerable opportunities for companies in terms of public image and corporate social responsibility:

Wide appeal and reach

The appeal of Open House’s work reaches across local and national government, London’s corporate community, the applied arts sector and the capital’s architecture, development, construction and management industries. Its special initiatives for children and young people have a high profile across a wide cross-section of London's teaching professionals and parents.

Open House’s image of cultural vitality and ethos of accessibility offers positive branding opportunities.

Corporate social responsibility

Many companies are also wishing to combine sponsorship with their CSR policy or begin their relationship with an organisation through their CSR programme.

Building for the future

Open House London Annual Event is our longest-running programme and has become a regular fixture in the calendar for hundreds of thousands of Londoners. Yet we want to continue to build on the success of this flagship programme at the same time as strengthening our educational and design advocacy programmes. The general public, young people and decision-makers including planning officials and councillors remain our core audiences.

We also want to involve greater numbers of people and broaden our reach into new communities while ensuring that we embrace change. Increasingly we are developing core themes which run throughout our work.  This includes the green agenda and the opportunities that will come with the London Olympics in 2012.

Importantly, it is also one of our main goals to stay at the forefront of the promotion of high quality design, introducing innovative approaches to engage with our audiences.

We know that successful partnerships are built on mutual understanding and shared interests. Open House is building a range of partnerships which offer:

  • Active engagement in the debate about what makes good architecture and how it influences our lives
  • Association with architectural and design excellence
  • A high profile and dialogue with a growing ABC1 audience, young people, educators, architects, developers, planners, policy makers, decision makers and the media
  • Direct involvement in projects and events that involve people of all ages in the development of their city and that focus on the social, economic and environmental impact of architectural and design excellence.
  • Opportunities to work with us to develop our plans and programmes and to introduce new ideas
  • Access to Open House information, publications, guidance, best practice exemplars and research

Some of the projects for which we are actively seeking sponsorship are listed right. If you would like to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Julie Leonard.
